2:00 p.m.: At Moton Museum: program for formal opening of the Civil Rights in Education
Heritage Trail (of which the Museum is the anchor); music and barbecue to follow the program
6:00 p.m.: At Moton Museum: program featuring children of "Lost Generation" students (Note change of time)
Saturday, May 15
10:00 a.m: At Moton Museum: NAACP-sponsored program: "Reflections and Reminiscences"
6:00 p.m.: At Longwood: Dinner and formal dance sponsored by the NAACP-both a community event and the prom for Sunday's honorary graduates
Sunday, May 16
11:00 a.m.: At First Baptist Church: community worship service / Baccalaureate service for honorary graduates
(featuring, among others, the Richmond Boys' Choir)
3:00 p.m.: At Prince Edward County High School: Honorary Diploma ceremony for students who were deprived
of an education by the closing of the schools, 1959-64
Monday, May 17
10:00 a.m.: At Moton Museum: Program commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of Brown v. Board
of Education (keynote speaker: L. Francis Griffin, Jr.) and honoring the plaintiffs in Prince Edward's case, Davis v. County School Board
